so this is my last weekend in hilton head island, SC. it has been such a treat to be down here for two months, working at the hospital, spending lots of quality time with my mom, eating at fabulous restaurants (and enjoying Nan's homemade creations), and spending every free moment i have at the beach (a short bike ride away). it's crazy how time flies! i'm soaking up these past precious moments down here in the low country before heading back up to the mountains on Wednesday (before a quick trip to the turtle hospital in Charleston, SC--much more on this later...)
my cousin Beth is in town and i just love her to pieces. so many inside jokes from our familiy and memories from this past year living in DC together. i'm happy she's down here so we can live it up for my last weekend, and she can take a much needed rest from working so hard at her job in DC. we went out to Wise Guys one of my FAVORITE restaurants down here on the island--they serve tapas and awesome wine. it has a pretty cool atmosphere too. we had a blast last night!
tonight (if all goes according to plan) we will probably go out to eat.. and sing some serious karaoke... and drink copious amounts of delicious wines.

It seems like just yesterday we were discussing our plans for the summer and the excitement it would be.
