foreign accent syndrome

i remember learning about this in grad school when we had one African American man from the South with a brain injury that suddenly started talking in a Jamaican accent after the brain injury.

it baffles me that your brain has the ability to suddenly change accents on you, even though you've never been to that country before. the brain is such an interesting mechanism. God, you are pretty interesting and hilarious in the same breath.
